January 31: SDHistCon Winter Quarters 2026 (online): We’re again holding an online convention running from 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT to 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, with demos, presentations, and panels. This will feature amazing designers including Mark Herman, Volko Ruhnke, John Butterfield, Brian Train, David Thompson, Dan Bullock, and more. Tickets are on sale now!
June 27: SDHist AmRevCon 2026 (online): Around the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, we’re hosting a special online convention focused on American Revolution games. We plan to feature designer/SDHist founder Harold Buchanan (Liberty or Death, Campaigns of 1777), as well as other designers of games on this topic such as Mark Herman, Mark Miklos, Maurice Suckling, and more! Tickets are on sale now!
July 11-12: SDHistCon North 2026 (in-person, Twin Cities): In a new event for our organization, we’re hosting a two-day in-person historical gaming convention in the Twin Cities! Join us at the historic Union Depot in Saint Paul, close to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul airport, hotels, excellent dining options, and more. Planned special designer guests include Cole Wehrle, Dan Bullock, Liz Davidson, Volko Ruhnke, Jason Matthews, David Thompson, and more. November 6-9: SDHistCon Summit 2026 (in-person, San Diego): Our flagship four-day in-person convention will again be held in San Diego, at the S.E.S. Portuguese Hall of San Diego. Tickets for this will be extremely limited, and will go on sale Saturday, August 8 at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT.
